PLASTIK na revista +SOMA

Momento orgulho da casa! Saiu na nova edição da revista +SOMA o segundo anúncio da PLASTIK. Esta série de propaganda foi criada pela agência de publicidade F/NAZCA S&S, logo quando a PLASTIK nasceu em 2006, e ganhou o Leão de Ouro, em Cannes no ano seguinte, o maior prêmio que uma peça publicitária pode ganhar.

Proud moment here at PLASTIK! The last issue of +SOMA magazine features PLASTIK’s second advertise. This campaign series was created by F/NAZCA S&S publicity agency, right after the store was “born” in 2006, and it won Cannes Lions award the next year, the biggest award an advertisement can get.

Para quem não sabe, os Swear Bears são ursinhos que vivem em uma floresta encantada distante, no mundo das flores e dos coelhinhos. Eles gostam de falar palavrões o tempo inteiro e são politicamente incorretos assumidos. Você encontra eles no site da PLASTIK por meros R$ 65,00.

Here is a funny vídeo of Swear Bear troubling people at New York Comic Con! For those who don’t have a clue of who are the Swear Bears, they are cute mammals living in a enchanted forest far far away, in the world of the flowers and bunnies. They like to swear all the time, (therefore their name) and are assumed to be politically incorrect. You can always find them at PLASTIK’s website for only R$ 65,00.

Mais um final de semana frio e chuvoso na capital! Perfeito para dar uma passadinha na PLASTIK e conferir os livros que entraram em promoção – e correr para casa ficar de pantufa tomando chocolate quente com marshmellow e lendo um dos livros da nossa selação.

Vamos aos top 3 que o staff da PLASTIK recomenda desta promoção:

3 – “Face of Fashion”: Qualquer livro ou revista pode exibir fotos de moda anunciando roupas e bolsas, celulares e carros, mas é muito raro uma fotografia exibir a verdadeira e pura face da moda. Face of Fashion reúne fotos de diversos fotógrafos de moda, como Corinne Day, Steven Klein e Paolo Roversi. Susan Bright colabora com um belíssimo texto sobre fotografia de moda, iluminando esta coleção de fotos que prometem revelar a verdadeira cara da moda.

2- “I Want to Spend the Rest of My Life Everywhere, with Everyone, One to One, Always, Forever, Now” by Damien Hirst.: É o livro de arte mais polêmico e envolvente que existe deste artista inglês. Tendo a morte como tema recorrente, ele se apropria de corpos de animais mortos para criar suas obras, tanto conservados em aquários de formaldeído, quanto dissecados. As fotos, obras e suas inspirações estão reunidas neste belo exemplar de capa dura.

1- “Toy Giant” by Daniel e Gio Fuchs: Daniel e Geo Fuchs tiveram a grande idéia de publicar um livro fotográfico de toys depois de conhecer o colecionador Selim Varol e seus mais de 10 mil urban vinyls. Não contentes em apenas fotografar, montaram contextos e temas políticos nas fotografias com heróis de plásticos que salvam o mundo.

Another cold and rainy weekend in São Paulo! Just perfect to run to PLASTIK store and check the book sale – and run back home to rest with hot choco and marshmellow under the covers reading one of the books of our selection.

This is the top 3 the PLASTIK staff has chosen for this sale:

3- “Face of Fashion”: Any book or magazine can have fashion advertising pictures selling clothes and bags, mobiles and cars, but it is very hard to find a photography which shows the true and pure face of fashion. This book gathers pictures of many fashion photographers like Corinne Day, Steven Klein and Paolo Roversi. Susan Bright collabs with a marvelous essay about fashion photography illuminating this collection of pictures, which promises to reveal the true face of fashion.

2- “I Want to Spend the Rest of My Life Everywhere, with Everyone, One to One, Always, Forever, Now” by Damien Hirst.: This is the most polemic and evolving book done by the British artist. Death is a current theme of his works, he appropriates of animal bodies to create his pieces of art, may them be “alive” in a formaldehyde aquarium, or dead and dissected on a table. His pictures of work, art and inspirations are all gathered in the awesome hardcover book.

1- “Toy Giant” by Daniel e Gio Fuchs: Daniel e Geo Fuchs had the most amazing idea of publishing a book with pictures of toys after meeting Salim Varol and his over 10 thousand toy collection. Not happy about only shooting pics of toys, they thought it was nice to give them a politics flavor and world-saving super heroes.

Quando todos nós aqui na PLASTIK ficamos “Ahhhh” e “Que gracinhaaa” para os Cactus Pups da Tokidoki, Simone Legno já estava preparando mais uma leva de toys encantadores para a gente ficar de queixo caído.

“The Moofia” é relançado e chega na sua versão mais leitosa do que nunca, arrasando com 3 novos personagens, a Riso, Creamina e Fragolina. E a gente achando que leite só saia de vaca. Tsc tsc.

Outro lançamento “familiar” é a dupla Skeletrino e Skeletrina, os gatos de estimação do Adios e da Ciao Ciao. Repare bem nos mínimos detalhes destes toys, os rabos têm uma foice na ponta (!!!), tudo bem cuidadosamente planejado. Skeletrino vem de pretinho básico e Skeletrina vem toda de roxo com detalhes em dourado. As “jóias” da gatinha são o máximo, a pulseira, o lacinho-bom bom da orelha e o do rabo (com ossos). Luxo, não?

When the whole PLASTIK staff was “Ahhhhhhhh” and “How cuteeee” about the Cactus Pups, by Tokidoki, Simone Legno was already making room for a charming new toys release.

“The Moofia” is released again in a new milky version, with the old moofia pals and 3 new characters: Riso, Creamina and Fragolina. Yes, also believed that milk would only come from cows. Tsc tsc.

Another “familiar” release is the duo Skeletrino and Skeletrina, Adios and Ciao Ciao’s kitty pets. Take a glance on the minimum details of those toys, their tail have hooks (!!!) right where it ends. Skeletrino’s design is all black and Skeletrina comes houte couture with a purple outfit and golden decoration. The kitty’s jewelries are awesome, totally luxury.
